Self Catering Accommodation
Well Cottage is a delightful period holiday cottage, built in 1850, in the beautiful village of South Harting, halfway between Midhurst and Petersfield, on the border of Sussex and Hampshire. This self catering accommodation is within easy reach of Goodwood, nestling at the foot of the South Downs Way, in the heart of the South Downs National Park.
Our holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 5 people.
Ideally situated for walkers and cyclists, our holiday cottage is a short walk from the South Downs Way at Harting Down. The holiday cottage is set in a peaceful courtyard, providing the perfect place to relax for a short break from the city.

Our holiday cottage has a cosy living room with feature fireplace, plus a dining area.
The kitchen has both electric and microwave ovens and has ample equipment for a self catering holiday.
In our utility room is a washing machine and tumble dryer, with plenty of storage space for bicycles, boots, coats etc.

There are 3 bedrooms, all with a cosy, country cottage feeling. On the first floor are a double room, a single room and the bathroom. On the second floor is a larger galleried twin room.
The bathroom has both a bath and an electric shower. There is a separate WC. |

The cottage has storage and fan heaters and an electric fire in the sitting room. There is parking along North Lane. There is no garden except a small seating area at the front, but with the South Downs on the doorstep there is plenty of outside space around!
All linen, towels and electricity included in the price. Please note that there are two staircases in the cottage, so would be difficult for people with mobility problems. A cot, high chair and stairgate are available at no additional charge.
The Locality
The lovely little village of South Harting, near Petersfield in Hampshire is a quaint English village with a well stocked village shop, post office and two pubs which serve food. There is also a great children's playground in the village.
10 minutes drive to the west is the market town of Petersfield which has a good selection of both individual and chain stores, as well as a number of good cafes and restaurants.
To the south are the cities of Chichester and Portsmouth, both about 20 minutes away, and to the east is the smaller historic town of Midhurst, with its Tudor ruin and love of polo.
Harting is 20 minutes drive to Goodwood for the motor racing and Horse Racing, providing the perfect self catering accommodation for Glorious Goodwood, Festival of Speed and Revival.

We are open all year, and can be flexible on the number of nights. We prefer a two night minimum stay, but if you require just one night, please contact us and we will try and accommodate you.
Dogs are welcome at an additional cost of £20 per stay.
Strictly no smoking is permitted in the cottage, as it is impossible to get rid of the smell of tobacco between bookings.
